About The Assos Mille GT Cycling Bib Tights S11
The Assos Mille GT Cycling Bib Tights S11 are built specifically for shoulder-season riding in the 53.6–68°F range — late spring mornings, early fall afternoons, and the variable-temperature days between. The defining technical addition is POLAR, a new proprietary textile with a brushed inner face that delivers midweight thermoregulation without the bulk of a winter tight. At 258g, this is a fabric engineered to move with the body over long distances, not just insulate it.
The sustainability story here is substantive: 50% of the POLAR material comes from pre-consumer recycled sources, and the entire construction is OEKO-TEX certified and PFAS-free. Assos validated the textile extensively before releasing it — breathability (4/5), quick-drying (4/5), and elasticity are all on par with the previous generation. The recycled content doesn't announce itself in the feel or performance; it's apparent in the product's credentials.
Who It's For
- Endurance and gran fondo riders spending 3–6+ hours in the saddle during shoulder-season conditions
- Road and gravel riders with variable-temperature training blocks where a full winter tight would overheat
- Cyclists who prioritize all-day chamois comfort and bib stability over aerodynamic compression
- Sustainability-minded riders who want performance apparel without PFAS or virgin synthetics
Consider a different option if: you're riding in sustained wind, rain, or temperatures consistently below 53°F. The GT S11 is rated 1/5 for both windproofing and waterproofing — it is not a weather-protection garment.
What to Look For
- Temperature window: The 53.6–68°F range is precise. This is a shoulder-season tight, not a three-season one. If your rides regularly dip below that, look at a heavier-insulated option.
- Ride intensity: The GT S11 is rated 3/5 for ride intensity — tuned for sustained endurance effort. High-output intervals or racing will generate more body heat than this tight is built to manage.
- Insert thickness: The 12mm MILLE insert suits long-duration seated efforts. Riders who prefer a thinner insert for shorter, harder work may find this construction heavier than needed.
Key Features
POLAR Textile The main fabric — 86% Polyamide, 14% Elastane — uses POLAR, a new construction with a brushed inner face designed for skin comfort and midweight insulation. Its 4/5 breathability rating means it manages heat during sustained effort without trapping warmth at the cost of ventilation. The 50% recycled content comes from pre-consumer sources, preserving the mechanical properties needed for a body-wrapping fit across varying riding positions.
rollBar Bib Strap System Adapted directly from Assos's Racing Series, the external rollBar bib strap provides locked-in positional stability over long efforts. Bib movement during multi-hour rides causes friction and distraction; the rollBar construction addresses this while maintaining the roomier, endurance-tuned GT fit rather than the compressed profile of a racing bib.
GT S11 Insert with Sundeck Panel The 12mm MILLE insert is one of Assos's rider-preferred chamois constructions, combined here with a Sundeck panel for additional pressure relief at high-contact points. This is trickle-down technology from the Racing Series — a proven insert retuned for all-day endurance use rather than high-intensity efforts.
Sustainability Credentials OEKO-TEX certification and a PFAS-free construction mean no harmful chemical residues in the textile or the manufacturing process. The 50% recycled fiber content — from pre-consumer sources — is specific to the POLAR fabric and represents a meaningful reduction in virgin material use without the performance compromises that earlier recycled-fabric cycling apparel often carried.
Rider Intent Summary
- Biggest strengths: All-day endurance comfort in the shoulder-season sweet spot; high breathability and quick-drying performance; substantive sustainable construction
- Tradeoffs: Minimal wind and weather protection; not appropriate for temperatures below 53°F or sustained wet conditions
- What makes it different: The POLAR textile — a purpose-built, partially recycled fabric with a brushed inner face that hits midweight insulation at 258g without sacrificing the breathability or elasticity the endurance fit requires
Victory's Take
At Victory Bicycle Studio, we recommend the GT S11 to riders who've been caught overdressed in a winter tight or underdressed in a summer bibs during those narrow-window shoulder-season days — the POLAR fabric and 53–68°F temperature target make it a precise tool for conditions that are otherwise hard to dress for. The rollBar straps and MILLE insert hold up over four or five hours in a way that less technically specific bib tights don't.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free shipping?
We do offer free shipping on non-bike orders over $100. We do not offer free shipping for bicycles unless it is a one time promotion. Generally, bike shipping will cost $150 and that covers just the shipping of the bike with no assembly. If you were to bring that bike to your local mechanic or bike store, you would pay them their assembly fee. If you choose our Professional Assembly option for $200, our service technicians would assemble the bike before shipping and then re-pack the bike safely for transit. When you receive the bike you would attach the front wheel, attach the seatpost/saddle, and raise the handlebars and clamp them. Those three items do have to be detached to minimize or eliminate the chance of damage in transit.
How much does shipping cost?
For orders of parts, accessories, apparel, etc. on orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of $9.99. Regular bike shipping without assembly is $150, bike shipping with Professional Assembly is an additional $200 (so $350 in total which includes the $150 of regular shipping). Our White Glove Delivery option is $699 and that will cover the assembly of the bike and our White Glove Delivery partner delivering your dream bike to your front door, ready to ride!
How can I track my order?
When you place your online order, you will receive an instantaneous email update with your order number and order details, and shortly after, you will receive a follow up order email with the tracking number for your order. If you still need assistance with your order, feel free to email us at online@victorybicyclestudio.com and we will respond asap.
