About The Assos Women's UMA GTV Cycling Bib Shorts S11
The Assos Women's UMA GTV Bib Shorts S11 are a warm-weather bib built for long-distance riding above 70°F. The S11 generation centers on a twin-layer 9+4mm chamois, OSSIDIA compression fabric on the major muscle groups, and a series of targeted updates that improve all-day comfort without adding bulk or heat retention. Breathability and quick-drying are both rated 5/5 — these are designed to handle sustained effort in warm conditions, not just casual spins.
What sets the S11 apart within its category is the combination of a Sens AIR lower stomach panel, textile-infused leg grippers, and the bisiClick bib strap closure system. Each solves a specific complaint common to long rides: abdominal pressure on descents, silicone bands that mark or roll, and the frustration of a full kit change during a stop. Together, they make the UMA GTV S11 a bib designed around what actually happens during four-plus hours in the saddle.
Who It's For
- Endurance riders logging long warm-weather training rides and fondos who prioritize multi-hour comfort over sprint-specific compression
- Women who have experienced rolling, marking, or restriction from traditional silicone leg grippers
- Riders who make regular stops on long days and need bib strap access without removing the shorts entirely
- Those looking for a high-breathability daily training bib that doubles as a warm-weather event option
What to Look For
- Insert thickness and ride intensity: The twin-layer 9+4mm chamois is rated for moderate ride intensity (3/5) — optimized for sustained endurance pacing rather than high-cadence race efforts. Riders doing hard criteriums or short punchy rides may prefer a firmer, thinner insert.
- Temperature range: The UMA GTV S11 is designed specifically for warm conditions above 69.8°F. It carries no insulation or windproofing; using it in cool morning weather will leave you cold at the start of a ride.
- Fit: Regular fit with standard leg length suits most body types. Riders with very muscular thighs should confirm OSSIDIA's compression character suits them before committing — it's supportive, not restrictive, but fit varies individually.
Key Features
OSSIDIA Compression Fabric wraps the large muscle groups of the leg in a smooth, supportive compression that manages heat without trapping it. The 80% polyamide, 20% elastane construction delivers the 5/5 breathability and quick-drying performance that define warm-weather bib performance.
Sens AIR Lower Stomach Panel replaces standard compressive fabric across the abdomen with a softer, accommodating mesh. On long rides — particularly extended descents or sustained time-trial segments — abdominal pressure from a tight waistband compounds over time. The Sens AIR panel relieves that buildup without sacrificing core support.
Textile-Infused Leg Grippers eliminate the silicone band entirely. Rather than a separate grip strip adhered to the fabric, the hold is built directly into the textile at the leg opening. This removes a common source of rolling, indentation marks, and restriction, particularly for riders with more muscular legs.
bisiClick Bib Strap System allows quick release of the bib straps for natural breaks without removing the shorts. On multi-hour rides, this is a genuine functional improvement over standard bib designs — and a key reason experienced long-distance riders gravitate toward this model.
Lighter Bib Strap Construction uses updated, lighter shoulder straps compared to previous generations. The reduced material improves airflow across the chest and shoulders — contributing to overall thermal comfort on warm days.
OEKO-TEX Certified, PFAS-Free construction across both the main fabric and chamois insert. The front insert is 75% polyamide, 25% elastane — verified clean materials that meet current sustainability standards.
Rider Intent Summary
- Biggest strengths: Best-in-class breathability and moisture management for warm-weather riding; all-day comfort from the Sens AIR stomach panel and ischial-targeted chamois; bisiClick convenience on long days
- Tradeoffs: Moderate ride intensity rating (3/5) makes this an endurance bib first — not the right choice for riders who want a firmer, race-tuned chamois; no temperature versatility below 70°F
- What makes it different: Textile-infused leg grippers (no silicone band) and the Sens AIR stomach panel are construction choices specific to this model — not standard features in this category
Victory's Take
At Victory Bicycle Studio, we recommend the UMA GTV S11 to riders who spend real time in the saddle in the summer and want a bib that earns its keep at hour four, not just hour one. The bisiClick system is a practical upgrade that, once you've used it, is hard to go back from.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free shipping?
We do offer free shipping on non-bike orders over $100. We do not offer free shipping for bicycles unless it is a one time promotion. Generally, bike shipping will cost $150 and that covers just the shipping of the bike with no assembly. If you were to bring that bike to your local mechanic or bike store, you would pay them their assembly fee. If you choose our Professional Assembly option for $200, our service technicians would assemble the bike before shipping and then re-pack the bike safely for transit. When you receive the bike you would attach the front wheel, attach the seatpost/saddle, and raise the handlebars and clamp them. Those three items do have to be detached to minimize or eliminate the chance of damage in transit.
How much does shipping cost?
For orders of parts, accessories, apparel, etc. on orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of $9.99. Regular bike shipping without assembly is $150, bike shipping with Professional Assembly is an additional $200 (so $350 in total which includes the $150 of regular shipping). Our White Glove Delivery option is $699 and that will cover the assembly of the bike and our White Glove Delivery partner delivering your dream bike to your front door, ready to ride!
How can I track my order?
