About The Factor Sarana Carbon Premium Package Gravel Bike Frameset
The Factor Sarana Carbon Premium Package is a gravel race frameset built for ultra-distance racing — multi-day, self-supported events where efficiency and mechanical resilience matter as much as raw speed. The package includes the Toray, Nippon Graphite Pan-Based Fiber carbon frame, matching Factor SARANA carbon fork, FSA SL-K SB0 seatpost, and Black Inc integrated barstem; wheels and a groupset are sold separately, and the frame is built for electronic shifting only.
Factor developed the SARANA with Canadian ultra racer and 2025 Unbound XL champion Rob Britton, testing prototypes across British Columbia's varied terrain to learn how a bike holds composure as a rider fatigues over hundreds of miles. The result is a leaf-spring seat-stay design — dropped stays paired with an offset seat tube — that flexes vertically to smooth rough-road vibration while keeping the rear end laterally stiff for efficient power transfer. That same seat tube offset is what let Factor hold 425mm chainstays across every frame size, a detail specific to how this frame is engineered rather than something scaled by size.
Who It's For
-
Riders training for or racing multi-day, self-supported ultra-distance gravel events, in the mold of Unbound XL
-
Riders who want a race-oriented frameset they'll spec themselves, since it's sold without wheels or a groupset
-
Riders who value sustained comfort and control over hundreds of miles as much as outright stiffness
-
Riders who need mechanical shifting, or want a complete, ready-to-ride bike, should look elsewhere — this frameset is compatible with electronic groupsets only
What to Look For
-
Electronic shifting only — this frame does not support mechanical drivetrains, so confirm your groupset choice before ordering
-
Bottom bracket standard — CeramicSpeed T47A WIDE aluminum cups, with CeramicSpeed bearings available for both DUB and 24mm spindles, so match this to your crankset
-
Dropper post compatibility — the FSA SL-K SB0 seatpost accepts a 30.9mm dropper, worth factoring in if you want that option for technical descents
Key Features
The Toray, Nippon Graphite Pan-Based Fiber carbon frame and matching Factor SARANA carbon fork form a race-tuned platform engineered specifically for ultra-distance gravel, not adapted from a road or cross-country design. Geometry is tuned for sustained high-speed riding across variable terrain, with stack and reach proportions meant to preserve control and posture as fatigue sets in over long efforts, and wheelbase and trail refined for stability on rough surfaces without giving up agility.
The leaf-spring seat-stay system is the frame's signature engineering solution: dropped stays and an offset seat tube create in-plane flex that absorbs vibration through the seat tube while maintaining lateral stiffness for power transfer. That same offset keeps 425mm chainstays consistent across every size, paired with 65mm trail (tire size dependent) for handling that stays sharp and responsive despite the frame's wide tire clearance.
The cockpit uses a Black Inc integrated barstem (75mm reach, 116mm drop), available in multiple stem lengths and bar widths for fit flexibility. The 1.5″ headset and head tube (upper and lower) and fully internal cable routing support a clean, electronic-only build, while 7x7 and 7x9 saddle rail clamps accommodate a wider range of saddle rail standards.
Rider Intent Summary
-
Biggest strength: A frame purpose-built for multi-day, self-supported gravel racing, with a leaf-spring seat-stay system that manages fatigue-inducing vibration without sacrificing power transfer
-
Tradeoff: Sold as a frameset only — no wheels or groupset — and compatible with electronic shifting exclusively
-
What makes it different: An offset seat tube that holds 425mm chainstays across all sizes, keeping the rear end tight and handling responsive despite the frame's endurance-oriented geometry and wide tire clearance
Victory's Take
We see the Sarana as a frame for riders who already know what ultra-distance gravel demands of a bike — and of themselves. At Victory Bicycle Studio, we'd point this toward a rider planning a specific electronic build for a specific kind of race, not someone shopping for their first gravel bike.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free shipping?
We do offer free shipping on non-bike orders over $100. We do not offer free shipping for bicycles unless it is a one time promotion. Generally, bike shipping will cost $150 and that covers just the shipping of the bike with no assembly. If you were to bring that bike to your local mechanic or bike store, you would pay them their assembly fee. If you choose our Professional Assembly option for $200, our service technicians would assemble the bike before shipping and then re-pack the bike safely for transit. When you receive the bike you would attach the front wheel, attach the seatpost/saddle, and raise the handlebars and clamp them. Those three items do have to be detached to minimize or eliminate the chance of damage in transit.
How much does shipping cost?
For orders of parts, accessories, apparel, etc. on orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of $9.99. Regular bike shipping without assembly is $150, bike shipping with Professional Assembly is an additional $200 (so $350 in total which includes the $150 of regular shipping). Our White Glove Delivery option is $699 and that will cover the assembly of the bike and our White Glove Delivery partner delivering your dream bike to your front door, ready to ride!
How can I track my order?
When you place your online order, you will receive an instantaneous email update with your order number and order details, and shortly after, you will receive a follow up order email with the tracking number for your order. If you still need assistance with your order, feel free to email us at online@victorybicyclestudio.com and we will respond asap.
