About The Kuat Transfer V2 Hitch Bike Rack
The Kuat Transfer V2 is a hitch-mount bike rack that holds bikes by their wheels, offered here in 1-, 2- and 3-bike configurations. It's built for riders who drive to trailheads, group rides and events and want a steel rack that folds when empty and locks to both the vehicle and the bikes.
What sets the Transfer V2 apart is its range. It accepts wheels from 18" to 29", wheelbases up to 50" and tires up to 4.5" wide, so a kid's bike, a road bike and a fat bike can ride on the same rack. Kuat pairs that with a semi-integrated cable lock, tamper-resistant hitch security, a ballistic black powdercoat and automotive-grade hardware.
Who It's For
- Households carrying a mixed fleet — kids' bikes, road, gravel, trail and fat bikes — on one rack
- Riders who would rather secure bikes at the wheels than clamp a carbon frame or dropper post
- Drivers with a 1-1/4" receiver, via the 1-bike or the 1-1/4" / 2" 2-bike version
- Consider a different rack if any bike weighs more than 40 lb or has a wheelbase longer than 50"
What to Look For
- Receiver size. The 3-bike (T223B) and one 2-bike version (T222B) fit a 2" receiver only. The 1-bike (T201B) and the other 2-bike (T202B) fit 1-1/4" or 2". Check your hitch before ordering.
- 40 lb per bike. Weigh e-bikes and heavy builds against that limit, not a manufacturer's claimed weight.
- Capacity now vs. later. Kuat lists the Transfer V2 as compatible with its 1-Bike Add-On (40 lb/bike). Ask us which base version suits it before you buy.
Key Features
Wheel-mount trays. Bikes attach at the wheels across an 18"–29" wheel range with wheelbases up to 50". Maximum tire width is 4.5"; Kuat's feature list cites up to 5" with an accessory strap. Kuat also designed the rack with clearance for loading fat bikes, which is where many trays run out of room.
Security. A semi-integrated cable lock secures bikes to the rack, and tamper-resistant hitch security protects the rack itself — the two points of theft on any hitch rack.
Folding design. The rack folds when it's not carrying bikes, keeping it out of the way when you park or open the rear of the vehicle.
Construction. A steel build with ballistic black powdercoat and automotive-grade hardware, chosen for a rack that lives outside on the back of a vehicle.
Rider Intent Summary
- Biggest strengths: 18"–29" wheels and 4.5" tires on one rack; built-in cable lock and hitch security
- Tradeoffs: 40 lb per-bike limit; the 3-bike version is 2" receiver only
- What makes it different: one wheel-mount rack that covers everything from a kid's bike to a fat bike
Victory's Take
At Victory Bicycle Studio, we point riders to the Transfer V2 when the family fleet runs from a kid's bike to a fat bike — just weigh any e-bike against the 40 lb limit first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free shipping?
We do offer free shipping on non-bike orders over $100. We do not offer free shipping for bicycles unless it is a one time promotion. Generally, bike shipping will cost $150 and that covers just the shipping of the bike with no assembly. If you were to bring that bike to your local mechanic or bike store, you would pay them their assembly fee. If you choose our Professional Assembly option for $200, our service technicians would assemble the bike before shipping and then re-pack the bike safely for transit. When you receive the bike you would attach the front wheel, attach the seatpost/saddle, and raise the handlebars and clamp them. Those three items do have to be detached to minimize or eliminate the chance of damage in transit.
How much does shipping cost?
For orders of parts, accessories, apparel, etc. on orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of $9.99. Regular bike shipping without assembly is $150, bike shipping with Professional Assembly is an additional $200 (so $350 in total which includes the $150 of regular shipping). Our White Glove Delivery option is $699 and that will cover the assembly of the bike and our White Glove Delivery partner delivering your dream bike to your front door, ready to ride!
How can I track my order?
