About The Pinarello Bolide TR Carbon Triathlon Bike Frameset
The Pinarello Bolide TR Carbon Triathlon Bike Frameset is a purpose-built no-draft racing platform, not a road bike adapted for triathlon. It's built around an integrated triathlon cockpit, a disc brake-specific frame design, and tube profiles shaped for time in the aero position rather than for group riding. Pinarello developed this platform with Cameron Wurf, who debuted it at Kona and set a course record on the bike leg — a reflection of the frame's focus on sustained aerodynamic efficiency over long, steady efforts rather than sharp handling or low weight.
Performance comes from a combination of a flat back, truncated aerofoil profile built to the 3:1 UCI ratio, an Onda ForkFlap that shields the front disc caliper while reducing drag, and fully internal cable routing (ICR) that keeps the front end clean. Tire clearance up to 700×28mm and thru-axles front and rear (100×12mm / 142×12mm) give it more real-world versatility than a pure track-day aero frame, without giving up the aerodynamic intent of the design.
Who It's For
-
Triathletes and time trialists racing no-draft events who want a frameset dedicated to sustained aero position, not a multi-purpose road bike
-
Riders who want an integrated cockpit and aero seatpost built into the frame design, rather than adapted from a road setup
-
Riders comfortable building up a frameset with their own groupset, wheels, and cockpit fit, since this is sold as a frame, fork, and seatpost — not a complete bike
-
Riders who primarily need a road/gravel-capable bike for mixed-terrain riding should look elsewhere; tire clearance and geometry here are dedicated to no-draft racing
What to Look For
-
Fit first: the integrated cockpit is central to this frame's aero position, so get a proper triathlon-specific bike fit before finalizing cockpit dimensions
-
Disc-only, thru-axle only: confirm your wheelset and brake components match the RAD disc brake system and 100×12mm/142×12mm thru-axle spacing
-
Frameset, not complete build: budget for groupset, wheels, and cockpit components, and confirm compatibility with the Italian threaded bottom bracket
Key Features
The frame is built from Torayca T700 UD carbon, shaped into deep aerodynamic tube profiles and a flat back, truncated aerofoil section that meets the UCI's 3:1 ratio rule for competition legality. The Onda ForkFlap on the fork protects the front disc caliper from airflow disruption while also cutting drag, a detail specific to disc-brake triathlon forks. Braking runs through Pinarello's RAD disc brake system paired with 100×12mm front and 142×12mm rear thru-axles for a secure, consistent wheel interface. Power transfer runs through an Italian threaded bottom bracket, a mounting standard Pinarello has stuck with for its reliability under repeated high-torque efforts. The integrated triathlon cockpit and aero rear-clamp seatpost are built into the frame's aero strategy rather than bolted on, and fully internal cable routing (ICR) keeps the front end aerodynamically clean. Maximum tire clearance is 700×28mm.
Rider Intent Summary
-
Biggest strength: a frameset engineered specifically for sustained aero efficiency in no-draft racing, validated at Kona
-
Tradeoff: sold as a frameset only, so riders need to source and fit a full groupset, wheels, and cockpit build
-
What makes it different: the ForkFlap, flat back profile, and integrated cockpit are designed together as one aero system, not assembled from separate off-the-shelf parts
Victory's Take
We'd point this frameset at athletes who are serious about no-draft racing and want a dedicated aero platform, not a road bike pressed into triathlon duty. At Victory Bicycle Studio, we'd pair it with a proper triathlon fit before locking in cockpit position, since that's where this frame's performance is won or lost.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free shipping?
We do offer free shipping on non-bike orders over $100. We do not offer free shipping for bicycles unless it is a one time promotion. Generally, bike shipping will cost $150 and that covers just the shipping of the bike with no assembly. If you were to bring that bike to your local mechanic or bike store, you would pay them their assembly fee. If you choose our Professional Assembly option for $200, our service technicians would assemble the bike before shipping and then re-pack the bike safely for transit. When you receive the bike you would attach the front wheel, attach the seatpost/saddle, and raise the handlebars and clamp them. Those three items do have to be detached to minimize or eliminate the chance of damage in transit.
How much does shipping cost?
For orders of parts, accessories, apparel, etc. on orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of $9.99. Regular bike shipping without assembly is $150, bike shipping with Professional Assembly is an additional $200 (so $350 in total which includes the $150 of regular shipping). Our White Glove Delivery option is $699 and that will cover the assembly of the bike and our White Glove Delivery partner delivering your dream bike to your front door, ready to ride!
How can I track my order?
When you place your online order, you will receive an instantaneous email update with your order number and order details, and shortly after, you will receive a follow up order email with the tracking number for your order. If you still need assistance with your order, feel free to email us at online@victorybicyclestudio.com and we will respond asap.
