About The Trek Slash AL Gen 5 Aluminum Mountain Bike Frameset
The Trek Slash AL is an aluminum enduro and all-mountain frameset built for riders who want to spec their own component build around a proven platform. The Alpha Platinum Aluminum frame carries 160mm of rear travel via an included RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ RT shock, with Active Braking Pivot (ABP) suspension that allows rear travel behavior to be tuned independently of braking forces. Knock Block 2.0 integrated headset provides a wider steering angle while protecting cables and hoses from fork-to-frame contact.
Mino Link geometry adjustment lets you shift between high and low positions — changing head tube angle, bottom bracket height, and reach — without replacing any components. A 64.6-degree head angle in the high position and a long wheelbase position this frame as a capable enduro platform. Internal downtube storage handles tools and supplies for longer days, while a removable downtube guard and shuttle guard protect the frame during transport. ISCG 05 tabs provide chain guide mounting options, and the magnesium rocker link reduces unsprung weight at the suspension pivot.
Who It's For
- Experienced builders who want to spec their own enduro or trail build around a proven Trek Slash platform
- Riders upgrading specific components while maintaining Slash geometry and aluminum construction
- Those who want control over fork, shock, and drivetrain choices not available in complete bike configurations
- Cyclists building a purpose-specific setup for enduro events or aggressive trail riding
- Not ideal for: riders who want a ready-to-ride bike or are newer to full-suspension mountain bikes
What to Look For
- Frameset only: no fork, drivetrain, wheels, or cockpit — budget for a complete component build on top of the frameset price; the RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ RT shock (230x62.5mm) is included
- Mino Link positions: understand the head angle and bottom bracket height tradeoffs between high and low settings before determining your preferred geometry for your riding style
- ISCG 05 tabs: plan for a chain guide in your build budget — it is a recommended addition for enduro-style riding

Rider Intent Summary
- Biggest strengths: Proven Slash enduro geometry in an aluminum frameset with an included shock, Mino Link adjustability, ISCG 05 chain guide tabs, and internal storage — a capable and flexible custom build platform
- Tradeoffs: Frameset-only purchase requires significant additional component investment; aluminum is heavier than the carbon Slash variants
- What makes it different: The Slash AL provides the enduro-focused ABP suspension platform and Mino Link geometry without locking you into a stock component specification

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free shipping?
We do offer free shipping on non-bike orders over $100. We do not offer free shipping for bicycles unless it is a one time promotion. Generally, bike shipping will cost $150 and that covers just the shipping of the bike with no assembly. If you were to bring that bike to your local mechanic or bike store, you would pay them their assembly fee. If you choose our Professional Assembly option for $200, our service technicians would assemble the bike before shipping and then re-pack the bike safely for transit. When you receive the bike you would attach the front wheel, attach the seatpost/saddle, and raise the handlebars and clamp them. Those three items do have to be detached to minimize or eliminate the chance of damage in transit.
How much does shipping cost?
For orders of parts, accessories, apparel, etc. on orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of $9.99. Regular bike shipping without assembly is $150, bike shipping with Professional Assembly is an additional $200 (so $350 in total which includes the $150 of regular shipping). Our White Glove Delivery option is $699 and that will cover the assembly of the bike and our White Glove Delivery partner delivering your dream bike to your front door, ready to ride!
How can I track my order?
When you place your online order, you will receive an instantaneous email update with your order number and order details, and shortly after, you will receive a follow up order email with the tracking number for your order. If you still need assistance with your order, feel free to email us at online@victorybicyclestudio.com and we will respond asap.
