About The Ventum GS1 Carbon Gravel Bike Frameset

The Ventum GS1 Carbon Gravel Bike Frameset is the foundation for riders who want to build a custom gravel machine without starting from a compromise. Built with advanced carbon construction, the GS1 frameset delivers torsional stiffness for immediate power transfer paired with strategic compliance that absorbs vibration from rough roads and gravel surfaces. Generous tire clearance allows configuration from fast gravel race builds to fully loaded adventure rigs depending on the rider's preference.

The GS1's gravel-specific geometry is tuned for confidence across changing terrain — stable enough for technical descents and loose corners, lively enough for aggressive riding and efficient power delivery over long distances. Internal cable routing protects brake and drivetrain lines from dirt and debris while contributing to a clean, aerodynamic profile. Multiple mounting points accommodate bottles, frame bags, and bikepacking setups, making the GS1 as capable on a multi-day route as it is at a gravel race start line.

Who It's For

  • Riders who want full control over their gravel build — drivetrain, wheelset, cockpit, and accessories chosen specifically for their riding style
  • Cyclists upgrading from an existing groupset or wheelset who want a premium carbon frame to build around
  • Competitors targeting gravel races who want a lightweight, stiff platform without paying for a pre-built component spec they'd replace anyway
  • Adventure and bikepacking riders who want a versatile frameset with generous tire clearance and multiple mounting options
  • Consider a complete GS1 build instead if you don't have components to carry over or prefer a ready-to-ride option

What to Look For

  • Component compatibility: As a frameset, the GS1 requires a full drivetrain, wheelset, and cockpit. Confirm bottom bracket standard, derailleur hanger compatibility (UDH), and tire clearance for your target tire width before specifying components.
  • Build purpose: The GS1 frameset supports race builds, endurance configurations, and bikepacking setups — but the geometry and carbon layup favor riders who spend significant time at pace. Consider your intended riding before committing to a specific build direction.
  • Tire clearance planning: The GS1 accepts wider tires for added traction and comfort on rougher terrain. Decide early whether your primary use case is fast gravel racing (narrower tires, lower weight) or all-terrain versatility (wider tires, more grip), as this shapes the rest of the build.

Key Features

Frame and Fork: Ventum's advanced carbon layup prioritizes torsional stiffness for power transfer during hard accelerations and steep climbs, with engineered compliance at key points to reduce fatigue over long distances. Gravel-specific geometry balances confident handling on loose corners and technical descents with the responsiveness needed for racing or hard riding at pace. The fork uses internal routing to match.

Cable Routing and Mounts: Internal cable routing throughout the frame and fork protects lines from dirt and debris, reduces drag, and simplifies long-term maintenance. Multiple mounting points — for bottles, bags, and accessories — make the GS1 as capable on extended adventures as it is in competitive gravel events.

Tire Clearance: Generous tire clearance opens the build to everything from narrow, fast-rolling race tires to wider, higher-volume options for rougher terrain and bikepacking use.

Rider Intent Summary

  • Biggest strengths: Premium carbon construction, gravel-optimized geometry, wide tire clearance, internal routing, and extensive mounting options in a fully customizable frameset
  • Tradeoffs: Requires a full custom build; frameset purchase adds time and planning compared to a complete bike; geometry favors pace-focused riding over casual recreation
  • What makes it different: The GS1 frameset gives riders the same Ventum carbon foundation as the complete GS1 builds — with full control over every component decision from drivetrain to wheelset

  • AN ALL-NEW FRONT END

Taking cues from the new Tempus TT bike, an hourglass head tube utilizes functional airfoils to smooth airflow over rider and bike. Because in modern gravel racing, aero matters.

  • VENTUM RACE GEOMETRY

The GS1’s geometry is something we hold near and dear to our hearts at Ventum. Adored by our pro riders and obsessed over by our engineers, it’s quick in corners yet wonderfully predictable and stable at high speeds over variable terrain.

  • FOR TIRES, BIGGER IS BETTER

The new GS1 takes up to 700x56c tires in the front and 700x50c tires in the rear — plenty big for today’s knobbier, fatter gravel tires.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer free shipping?

We do offer free shipping on non-bike orders over $100. We do not offer free shipping for bicycles unless it is a one time promotion. Generally, bike shipping will cost $150 and that covers just the shipping of the bike with no assembly. If you were to bring that bike to your local mechanic or bike store, you would pay them their assembly fee. If you choose our Professional Assembly option for $200, our service technicians would assemble the bike before shipping and then re-pack the bike safely for transit. When you receive the bike you would attach the front wheel, attach the seatpost/saddle, and raise the handlebars and clamp them. Those three items do have to be detached to minimize or eliminate the chance of damage in transit.

How much does shipping cost?

For orders of parts, accessories, apparel, etc. on orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of $9.99. Regular bike shipping without assembly is $150, bike shipping with Professional Assembly is an additional $200 (so $350 in total which includes the $150 of regular shipping). Our White Glove Delivery option is $699 and that will cover the assembly of the bike and our White Glove Delivery partner delivering your dream bike to your front door, ready to ride!

How can I track my order?

When you place your online order, you will receive an instantaneous email update with your order number and order details, and shortly after, you will receive a follow up order email with the tracking number for your order.  If you still need assistance with your order, feel free to email us at online@victorybicyclestudio.com and we will respond asap.
