About The CADEX 36 Disc Tubeless Front Bicycle Wheel
The CADEX 36 Disc Tubeless Front Wheel is a 36mm-deep carbon hookless clincher for road riders who want one front wheel for climbing, fast group rides, and windy days. It is built around a 22.4mm internal rim width, laced to the CADEX R1-C30 Centerlock hub with 21 aero carbon spokes, and comes ready to set up tubeless.
What sets it apart is the build, more than the rim depth. CADEX Dynamic Balanced Lacing (DBL) sets the spokes at a wider bracing angle and balances tension across the wheel. CADEX says this makes the wheel stiffer and transfers power better. The low 36mm profile keeps the front end stable in crosswinds. The wide inner rim gives a rounder tire shape and a larger contact patch for grip, cornering support and comfort.
Who It's For
-
Road riders who want one all-around front wheel for climbing, rolling terrain and descending
-
Riders in gusty or exposed areas who find deeper front wheels hard to control
-
Riders moving to wider tubeless tires (25–32C) for comfort and traction
-
Riders up to 285 lbs / 129 kg total system weight
-
Consider something else if you want a deep-section aero wheel for flat time trials or triathlon, or if your frame or fork doesn't use a 100x12 thru-axle
What to Look For
-
Tire compatibility: This is a hookless rim. Use tubeless tires the tire maker approves for hookless rims, in the 700 x 25C–32C range.
-
Fit to your bike: Check that your fork uses a 100x12mm thru-axle and your brake rotor is Centerlock.
-
Matching rear wheel: This is a front wheel only. Plan your rear wheel so the pair matches in rim depth and tire setup.
Key Features
The hookless carbon rim uses one continuous carbon fiber structure with a 22.4mm inner / 26mm outer width (ETRTO 622-22). A rounder tire profile gives the sidewalls more support in hard corners, and the larger contact patch helps with grip and absorbing bumps on rough roads.
Precision reinforced layup puts high-tensile carbon only where the rim needs it. The goal is a stiff, strong rim without extra weight.
Dynamic Balanced Lacing uses a 21-hole front pattern with the spokes at a wider bracing angle. CADEX says this keeps the wheel stiff and efficient when you're out of the saddle or sprinting.
Aero carbon spokes limit side-to-side flex for acceleration and climbing. Their aero shape helps keep the wheel steady in shifting winds. Internal alloy nipples keep the rim profile clean.
The R1-C30 hub with CADEX ceramic bearings has precision-machined internals that reduce bearing load and friction. CADEX rates its ceramic bearings at 1.5x smoother than steel.
The CADEX Tubeless System comes with rim tape and valves, so it's ready for tubeless setup out of the box.
Coverage: 2-year warranty, plus 5-year incident replacement for registered original owners.
Rider Intent Summary
-
Biggest strengths: Stable in crosswinds, stiff DBL carbon-spoke build, wide rim that suits 25–32C tubeless tires
-
Tradeoffs: Needs hookless-compatible tires; less aero than deeper rims on fast, flat courses; front wheel only
-
What makes it different: Combines DBL lacing, aero carbon spokes and a 22.4mm hookless rim on a 36mm profile
Victory's Take
At Victory Bicycle Studio, we see the CADEX 36 Disc as a very good front wheel for riders whose roads go up, down and into the wind. It's especially worth a look if a deeper front wheel has ever made you nervous on a gusty descent.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free shipping?
We do offer free shipping on non-bike orders over $100. We do not offer free shipping for bicycles unless it is a one time promotion. Generally, bike shipping will cost $150 and that covers just the shipping of the bike with no assembly. If you were to bring that bike to your local mechanic or bike store, you would pay them their assembly fee. If you choose our Professional Assembly option for $200, our service technicians would assemble the bike before shipping and then re-pack the bike safely for transit. When you receive the bike you would attach the front wheel, attach the seatpost/saddle, and raise the handlebars and clamp them. Those three items do have to be detached to minimize or eliminate the chance of damage in transit.
How much does shipping cost?
For orders of parts, accessories, apparel, etc. on orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of $9.99. Regular bike shipping without assembly is $150, bike shipping with Professional Assembly is an additional $200 (so $350 in total which includes the $150 of regular shipping). Our White Glove Delivery option is $699 and that will cover the assembly of the bike and our White Glove Delivery partner delivering your dream bike to your front door, ready to ride!
How can I track my order?
When you place your online order, you will receive an instantaneous email update with your order number and order details, and shortly after, you will receive a follow up order email with the tracking number for your order.
