About The ENVE Melee Performance Road Bike Frameset
The Envee Melee Performance Road Bike Frameset is a dedicated road racing platform built around ENVE's M.O.D carbon construction — a frame engineered for riders who want modern race performance without sacrificing real-world tire clearance. At 850 grams (size 56, painted, no hardware), it competes at the top of its weight class while supporting tires up to 35mm, making it viable from criteriums to gran fondos on mixed road surfaces.
ENVE engineered the Melee's tube shapes to complement their own SES wheel rims — a pairing that optimizes aerodynamics across the full contact points between frame and wheel. The result is what ENVE calls Real-World Fast™ aero: tuned for the speeds and conditions actual road racers encounter, not wind-tunnel figures at unrealistic yaw angles. Internal routing, a T47 bottom bracket, flat-mount brakes, and 12mm thru-axles front and rear reflect a consistent modern build standard throughout.
Who It's For
- Road racers and competitive riders building a high-performance frameset for the long term
- Riders who want ENVE's flagship carbon quality without locking into a complete bike spec
- Cyclists upgrading from aluminum or entry-level carbon who want a measurable jump in handling precision and ride quality
- Anyone pairing with ENVE SES wheels to maximize the integrated aero design
- Not the right fit for riders seeking a dedicated endurance geometry, a gravel-capable platform, or a complete build with drivetrain included
What to Look For
- Fit and size selection: Seven sizes (47–60cm) with size-specific fork rake (55mm down to 39mm) mean fit nuances matter — a professional bike fit before committing to a size is strongly recommended
- Build budget: This is a frameset only; factor in groupset, cockpit, wheels, and seatpost at a tier that matches the frame's performance level
- Tire intent: The 27c–32c optimal range suits riders who want flexibility across road surfaces; those locked into 25c racing tires won't extract the full handling benefit the clearance allows
Key Features
ENVE M.O.D Carbon Frame and Fork. Both frame and fork use ENVE's M.O.D (Manufacturer Original Design) carbon process — the same construction behind ENVE's component line. ENVE controls the design, fiber selection, and quality standards directly, not through co-manufacturing.
Aero Tube Integration with SES Wheels. Tube shapes are specifically designed to transition cleanly into ENVE SES rim profiles. Pairing the Melee with SES wheels produces a system-level aero benefit that neither component delivers independently.
T47 Bottom Bracket with Inboard Bearings. The T47 standard offers threaded reliability — no press-fit creaking over time — while inboard bearing placement improves stiffness-to-weight at the drivetrain interface.
Full Internal Routing. All cables and hoses route internally, keeping the front end aerodynamically clean and protecting lines from the elements over the life of the build.
35mm Maximum Tire Clearance. Generous for a race-oriented platform, with an optimal range of 27–32mm. Riders get meaningful flexibility in tire selection without the frame constraining their setup.
Rider Intent Summary
- Biggest strengths: Lightweight M.O.D carbon construction, system-optimized aero designed around ENVE SES wheels, modern standards throughout (T47, flat mount, thru-axle, internal routing)
- Tradeoffs: Frameset-only purchase requires full build investment; no relaxed or endurance geometry variant
- What makes it different: Tube shapes engineered specifically around ENVE's own SES wheel profiles — a design coherence that doesn't carry over when mixing wheel brands
Victory's Take
At Victory Bicycle Studio, we recommend the Melee for riders who are serious about their build and want a frame that will keep pace with their component choices for years. Come in for a fit before you size — the geometry rewards getting it right.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free shipping?
We do offer free shipping on non-bike orders over $100. We do not offer free shipping for bicycles unless it is a one time promotion. Generally, bike shipping will cost $150 and that covers just the shipping of the bike with no assembly. If you were to bring that bike to your local mechanic or bike store, you would pay them their assembly fee. If you choose our Professional Assembly option for $200, our service technicians would assemble the bike before shipping and then re-pack the bike safely for transit. When you receive the bike you would attach the front wheel, attach the seatpost/saddle, and raise the handlebars and clamp them. Those three items do have to be detached to minimize or eliminate the chance of damage in transit.
How much does shipping cost?
For orders of parts, accessories, apparel, etc. on orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of $9.99. Regular bike shipping without assembly is $150, bike shipping with Professional Assembly is an additional $200 (so $350 in total which includes the $150 of regular shipping). Our White Glove Delivery option is $699 and that will cover the assembly of the bike and our White Glove Delivery partner delivering your dream bike to your front door, ready to ride!
How can I track my order?
When you place your online order, you will receive an instantaneous email update with your order number and order details, and shortly after, you will receive a follow up order email with the tracking number for your order. If you still need assistance with your order, feel free to email us at online@victorybicyclestudio.com and we will respond asap.
