About The Giordana Men's Silverline Cycling Bib Shorts
The Giordana Men's Silverline Cycling Bib Shorts are a re-engineered bib short built around a one-panel leg design that wraps the entire leg in a single seam, eliminating the multi-panel stitching found on more traditional bibs. Made in Italy from a compressive, silk-like circular knit fabric, they're suited to road and gravel riders logging long miles in direct sun — the fabric's 210-gram density is dense enough to carry a 50+ UPF rating without adding noticeable bulk.
What sets the Silverline apart within Giordana's own lineup is fit: it's cut less aggressively than the brand's race-ready elite collections, trading some compression for a fit that accommodates a wider range of body types and riding styles. The shorts also mark the first-ever use of Giordana's Cirro S chamois, an aloe vera-infused pad the brand positions as its top-of-the-line option, paired with a straight-cut leg hem and lightweight, more flexible bib straps finished in mesh for airflow.
Who It's For
- Road and gravel riders who want a relaxed, all-day fit rather than a compression-focused race cut
- Riders who want built-in sun protection on long, exposed rides (50+ UPF)
- Cyclists who need a broader fit range than Giordana's elite-tier race bibs offer
- Riders who spend enough saddle time to justify a premium chamois
- Not the pick for racers chasing the tightest, most aerodynamic compression fit — Giordana's elite race collections are built for that instead
What to Look For
- Fit philosophy: the Silverline is intentionally less aggressive than a race-cut bib — decide whether that relaxed feel or a tighter race fit suits your riding
- Chamois feel: the Cirro S is Giordana's top-tier pad — riders who prefer thinner or softer padding should try it before committing
- Inseam length: 10.6" in a size medium — check this against shorts you already own for comparable leg coverage
Key Features
Fabric and construction: the circular knit fabric is built as a single-seam, one-piece leg panel, which is what lets the 210-gram density material carry a 50+ UPF rating while still moving and wicking moisture like a lighter fabric. At 6.3 oz (179 g) in a size medium, the short stays lightweight despite that added density.
Chamois: the Cirro S chamois — aloe vera-infused and appearing in the Silverline line for the first time — is Giordana's top-of-the-line pad, aimed at riders who spend extended time in the saddle and want a more structured pad than the brand's mid-tier options.
Straps and breathability: lightweight bib straps with added flex and a new mesh back panel are designed to cut down on hot spots and improve airflow across the shoulders on long, warm-weather rides.
Fit and hem: a straight-cut leg hem and one-piece leg construction give a cleaner line at the thigh than gripper-heavy hem designs, with an overall fit that sits between Giordana's race-cut elite shorts and a more relaxed everyday short.
Rider Intent Summary
- Biggest strengths: one-piece leg construction, 50+ UPF sun protection, and a first-time Cirro S chamois
- Tradeoffs: a more relaxed fit than Giordana's elite race collections means less aerodynamic compression
- What makes it different: the single-seam, one-panel leg and aloe vera-infused Cirro S chamois are new to this specific model, not features carried over from other Giordana bibs
Victory's Take
At Victory Bicycle Studio, we see the Silverline as a strong fit for riders who want Giordana's construction and chamois quality without a race-cut fit — a good recommendation for fittings where all-day comfort matters more than an aggressive fit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free shipping?
We do offer free shipping on non-bike orders over $100. We do not offer free shipping for bicycles unless it is a one time promotion. Generally, bike shipping will cost $150 and that covers just the shipping of the bike with no assembly. If you were to bring that bike to your local mechanic or bike store, you would pay them their assembly fee. If you choose our Professional Assembly option for $200, our service technicians would assemble the bike before shipping and then re-pack the bike safely for transit. When you receive the bike you would attach the front wheel, attach the seatpost/saddle, and raise the handlebars and clamp them. Those three items do have to be detached to minimize or eliminate the chance of damage in transit.
How much does shipping cost?
For orders of parts, accessories, apparel, etc. on orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of $9.99. Regular bike shipping without assembly is $150, bike shipping with Professional Assembly is an additional $200 (so $350 in total which includes the $150 of regular shipping). Our White Glove Delivery option is $699 and that will cover the assembly of the bike and our White Glove Delivery partner delivering your dream bike to your front door, ready to ride!
How can I track my order?
When you place your online order, you will receive an instantaneous email update with your order number and order details, and shortly after, you will receive a follow up order email with the tracking number for your order.
