About The Wahoo Speedplay Comp Dual Sided Clipless Bicycle Pedals
The Wahoo Speedplay Comp is a dual-sided clipless road pedal built on Speedplay's lollipop spindle design, giving riders symmetrical entry on either side of the pedal so there's no fumbling to find the correct face at a stoplight. At 232g per pair with a chromoly spindle and Grivory composite body, it's built for road and gravel riders logging real mileage who want dependable engagement and a pedal system that holds up to daily use without added maintenance.
What separates the Comp from a typical dual-sided pedal is its stack height: 11.5mm on a 3-hole cleat mount and 8.5mm on a 4-hole mount, among the lowest in the category, which shortens the distance between shoe and spindle for more direct power transfer. Paired with a 39° cornering clearance and triple sealed cartridge and needle bearings, the Comp is engineered for aggressive lean angles on tight corners and long-term durability with minimal upkeep.
Who It's For
• Road and gravel riders who want dual-sided clip-in and don't want to hunt for the correct pedal face when starting from a stop
• Riders who prioritize low stack height and wide cornering clearance for an aggressive position and confident cornering
• Cyclists who frequently walk in their cycling shoes off the bike and want a walkable cleat system (adaptor included)
• Riders who want adjustable float (0-15°) and release angle (0-7.5°) to fine-tune knee tracking and comfort
• Riders of any body weight — the Comp carries no maximum rider weight restriction
• Riders who prefer a simpler single-sided pedal or minimal adjustability may find Speedplay's fit system more involved to set up initially
What to Look For
• Cleat mount pattern: stack height differs between 3-hole (11.5mm) and 4-hole (8.5mm) setups, so confirm which matches your shoes before ordering
• Float and release range: adjustable 0-15° float and 0-7.5° release angle should be dialed in during fit rather than left at default, especially for riders with knee sensitivity
• Walking needs: the included adaptor makes the cleat walkable, worth factoring in if you're off the bike often during rides
Key Features
Body and spindle construction: The Comp pairs a Grivory composite body with a chromoly spindle and triple sealed cartridge and needle bearings, giving the pedal a durable, low-maintenance platform built for high mileage.
Cleat and float system: The pedal ships with the Easy Tension cleat for an easier release, and includes up to 13mm of fore-aft and 8mm of left-right cleat adjustment along with 0-15° of float, letting riders fine-tune fit without changing pedals.
Stack height and cornering clearance: A stack height of 11.5mm (3-hole) or 8.5mm (4-hole) keeps the shoe closer to the spindle for efficient power transfer, and 39° of cornering clearance supports aggressive lean without pedal strikes on tight corners.
Walkability: A slim cleat profile with an included walkable adaptor improves off-bike stability, useful for coffee stops or any point where riders are on foot in cycling shoes.
Rider Intent Summary
• Biggest strengths: Low stack height, wide cornering clearance, and dual-sided entry with no rider weight limit
• Tradeoffs: Speedplay's fit system has more adjustment points to learn than a simpler single-sided pedal, and float/release angle need to be set up rather than left at default
• What makes it different: A best-in-class stack height paired with up to 15° of rotational float and an included walkable cleat adaptor, combining low-profile power transfer with off-bike usability
Victory's Take
We recommend the Speedplay Comp to riders who already know they want Speedplay's low stack height and float range, or who are ready to be fit into it — at Victory Bicycle Studio, we always pair this pedal with a proper bike fit session so the adjustability actually gets used correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free shipping?
We do offer free shipping on non-bike orders over $100. We do not offer free shipping for bicycles unless it is a one time promotion. Generally, bike shipping will cost $150 and that covers just the shipping of the bike with no assembly. If you were to bring that bike to your local mechanic or bike store, you would pay them their assembly fee. If you choose our Professional Assembly option for $200, our service technicians would assemble the bike before shipping and then re-pack the bike safely for transit. When you receive the bike you would attach the front wheel, attach the seatpost/saddle, and raise the handlebars and clamp them. Those three items do have to be detached to minimize or eliminate the chance of damage in transit.
How much does shipping cost?
For orders of parts, accessories, apparel, etc. on orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of $9.99. Regular bike shipping without assembly is $150, bike shipping with Professional Assembly is an additional $200 (so $350 in total which includes the $150 of regular shipping). Our White Glove Delivery option is $699 and that will cover the assembly of the bike and our White Glove Delivery partner delivering your dream bike to your front door, ready to ride!
