Bike lights cover front headlights and rear taillights for road, commute, and trail riding — safety and visibility equipment that matters whether you ride at dawn, dusk, or after dark.

Headlight output is measured in lumens: commuting and road riding in urban environments needs less output than dark rural roads or unlit trail; riders covering ground in full darkness or technical terrain need significantly more. Radar taillights detect approaching vehicles and alert the rider, which has become a meaningful safety addition for road cyclists. Rechargeable USB lights are standard and practical for most riders; AA/AAA options remain relevant for long-distance and bikepacking use where charging infrastructure is limited.
