Cycling tights cover cold-weather riding — full-length coverage for training and riding in temperatures where bib shorts and leg warmers aren't enough.

Bib tights combine the thermal coverage of tights with bib construction, which keeps the waistband off the lower back and maintains chamois position through long efforts — they're the better choice for serious riders training through winter. Standard tights without bibs suit casual and commute riding where off-bike comfort matters. Fabric weight and wind resistance vary across products; heavier fleece-backed options work for sustained cold; lighter thermal fabrics handle the high-exertion range where overheating is a concern. Women's bib tights are built around different chamois geometry than men's, not adapted from a men's pattern.
