About The Factor Black Inc Five Wheelset
The Black Inc FIVE is a disc-brake, tubeless-compatible carbon clincher wheelset built as an all-rounder for road riders who climb, cover long miles, and still push pace when the road turns fast. Its one-piece, five-spoke design replaces traditional mid-depth, steel-spoked construction, using NACA-optimized carbon spokes and a 30mm-deep rim to balance low weight with aerodynamic efficiency. At 1,318g (Shimano HG11 version), it stays planted on descents and corners while remaining efficient on sustained climbs.
The five-spoke structure and Kamm tail rim profile were developed using CFD and FEA modeling validated against real-world road conditions, targeting handling and aerodynamic gains over conventional wheel layouts. The hub is designed and built in-house specifically for the FIVE, paired with custom Black Inc + CeramicSpeed bearings and a combined mechanical and chemical retention joint, aimed at keeping rolling resistance low and tolerances tight over the wheel’s service life.
Who It’s For
• Road riders wanting a lightweight, all-around wheelset for long days in the saddle, climbing, and fast group rides or racing
• Riders running disc-brake road bikes with Center Lock rotor mounts
• Riders on SRAM 10-11-speed or SRAM XDR 12-speed drivetrains, matched to the correct freehub version
• Riders who want tubeless-compatible clinchers rather than tubular wheels
• Not for rim-brake bikes — FIVE is disc-brake only
What to Look For
• Freehub body version (Shimano HG11 or SRAM XDR) determines drivetrain compatibility and isn’t interchangeable after purchase
• Hub spacing: confirm your frame and fork use 100mm x 12mm thru-axle front, 142mm x 12mm rear
• Brake rotor mount: Center Lock only — check rotor compatibility or budget for adapters
Key Features
The rim is built from TeXtreme Toray Nippon graphite pitch-based fiber in a 30mm-deep, 30mm x 28mm cross-section with a 21mm internal width, sized for wider tubeless tires while keeping frontal area low. The five carbon aero spokes are NACA-optimized and integrated into a one-piece structure rather than laced individually, which the manufacturer’s CFD and FEA testing ties to improved aerodynamics and handling versus traditional multi-spoke, mid-depth wheels.
The black aluminum hub is machined and built in-house for the FIVE, matched to custom Black Inc + CeramicSpeed bearings. A combined mechanical and chemical retention joint secures the assembly, meant to hold tolerances and keep rolling resistance low over time.
Rider Intent Summary
• Biggest strength: 1,318g one-piece, five-spoke build with CFD/FEA-validated aerodynamics
• Tradeoff: disc-brake and Center Lock only, with a freehub decision required at purchase
• What’s different: in-house hub with Black Inc + CeramicSpeed bearings and a one-piece Kamm tail spoke and rim structure, versus wheels built with off-the-shelf hubs and separately laced spokes
Victory’s Take
We see the Black Inc FIVE as a strong all-rounder for riders who want one wheelset for climbing days and fast group rides without a weight or aero tradeoff. Talk to our fit team to confirm freehub and rotor compatibility before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer free shipping?
We do offer free shipping on non-bike orders over $100. We do not offer free shipping for bicycles unless it is a one time promotion. Generally, bike shipping will cost $150 and that covers just the shipping of the bike with no assembly. If you were to bring that bike to your local mechanic or bike store, you would pay them their assembly fee. If you choose our Professional Assembly option for $200, our service technicians would assemble the bike before shipping and then re-pack the bike safely for transit. When you receive the bike you would attach the front wheel, attach the seatpost/saddle, and raise the handlebars and clamp them. Those three items do have to be detached to minimize or eliminate the chance of damage in transit.
How much does shipping cost?
For orders of parts, accessories, apparel, etc. on orders under $100, shipping is a flat rate of $9.99. Regular bike shipping without assembly is $150, bike shipping with Professional Assembly is an additional $200 (so $350 in total which includes the $150 of regular shipping). Our White Glove Delivery option is $699 and that will cover the assembly of the bike and our White Glove Delivery partner delivering your dream bike to your front door, ready to ride!
How can I track my order?
When you place your online order, you will receive an instantaneous email update with your order number and order details, and shortly after, you will receive a follow up order email with the tracking number for your order. If you still need assistance with your order, feel free to email us at online@victorybicyclestudio.com and we will respond asap.
